Welcome to Keller

Once an old west town, Keller has become a vibrant community
Located in Tarrant County, Keller has become a highly desirable place to reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. The town is located approximately 32 miles northwest of downtown Dallas and 18 miles northeast of downtown Fort Worth, making it a popular option for those who want to be in close proximity to the big city. Keller’s history began in the early 1850s with the arrival of the Texas Pacific Railroad. The town flourished as a trade center for the surrounding farm community.
Today, Keller is home to just over 46,000 residents, ranging from retirees to families with young children. The city is proud to boast an excellent school system, award-winning city facilities and programs, and a varied mix of shopping and dining destinations. If you’re new to town, you won’t be a stranger for long. Instead, the warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel right at home.

Local Lifestyle

As the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex has continued to grow, Keller’s proximity to DFW International Airport and both downtown Dallas and Fort Worth make it a popular option for people who need to commute frequently to and from these areas.
In addition to city-commuting professionals, Keller has become a desirable place to raise a family. This is in large part due to the excellent schools available here, enabling parents to choose the best educational route for their children. Not only are Keller schools among some of the best in the DFW metroplex, but they are among some of the best in the state. Keller public schools rank fourteenth among the 2019 Dallas suburbs with best public schools and one of its principal high schools, Keller High School, ranks tenth among the 2019 best open-enrollment high schools in the DFW metroplex

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
